1. 'Credit card debt relief' companies make money off you and can prolong the debt and legal problems. Contact the credit card company directly.... talk to a manager, only. Tell them what you will do...some money for now and next month. Do as you say...but always talk with that same manager. Call the manager to make sure the money was received. Do not let them bully you.But be polite. The rapport you build with the manager will help you to resolve the issue.Odds are the manager has had credit problems but,won't admit it. Once the issue is resolved, you might be surprised when they increase your debt limit. Why? They know you will pay it back and that is how they make money...lending funds to reliable people. Bringing in a third party...'debt relief' company will cause problems. Good Luck. dg nyc
