I am sure the credit card company is AWARE THAT BOSTON DEbt IS HANDLING my account...But the problem is I have to go to court anyway...I can bring proof of what i am paying Boston Debt... Why are they suing me when Boston Dept has been handling my account and literally told me the credit card company is AWARE THERE WILL BE A SETTLEMENT....but not for a few years??? All's i can think of is they want their money now...and i do not have it..I have to make payments which i am doing...What do you recommend? Help...thank you!!

- This is not a good situation.....The bottom line is that debt settlement firms deliberately let your accounts go into default to put them into a position to negotiate settlements with your creditors. Sometimes this works...sometimes your creditors have a bad reaction...... Problem: Your creditors are under no obligation to accept settlements from you or any debt negotiations firm that you hire....Boston Debt has no power whatsoever to force them to accept any settlement. Boston Debt has probably been taking money from you for a settlement......See if this creditor will accept this money to prevent any legal action.... If no resolution can be found...do not under any circumstances ignore the court date...No show = default judgment...
- Your debt settlement company is probably taking your payments and not paying anything to your creditors. The plan is to wait till all your creditors are 3 or more months late. Then they will offer a lowball settlement offer under threat that you will file bankruptcy. Unfortunately for you, more and more credit card companies refuse to play. Thus, they are suing you. I recommend you get a detailed accounting of exactly what Boston Debt is doing with those payments. It's very probably that it's going directly to their pockets. Be sure to show up in court. You can bring up Boston Debt, but it probably won't do you any good. The credit card company will win a judgment. They can then attach you bank account or garnish your wages.
- The answer is suppose to be vary by person. From my personal view, always it is a good idea to hear the voices from different sides and try to decide the best one. Here is a good one that i recommend.http://debt-relief.expertips4u.info/consolidation-debt-loan-non-profit.html
